Our Location

Vintage, three-story Victorian house with a domed turret, large porch, and bare trees in front.

Hinman Funeral Home was founded in 1958 and is located in the former Joshua Miles House on Somerset Avenue in Princess Anne. Built by Joshua Miles in 1895, the home is on the National Historic Register. Joshua Miles was a prominent attorney, bank president, and First District US Congressman at the turn of the century. The home is a Victorian-style home, complete with an Octagonal Tower.

Hinman Funeral Home has underwent several renovations including a new office, chapel, handicapped ramp, restrooms, and sound system. The home was designed to be comfortable and functional with the atmosphere given more to that of a home than a funeral establishment. Parking lots are located beside the home and across the street.
