PRINCESS ANNE – Wm. Walter Beauchamp, 82, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Somerset County on September 29, 1936, he was the son of the late Valley Virginia (Cowger) & Talmage B. Beauchamp, Sr.
Walt retired from Stevenson Equipment Co. after 33 years of service as a diesel mechanic. He was a poultry grower and farmer in Princess Anne. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Somerset County Farm Bureau. He spent his life doing what he loved "working on farm equipment particularly John Deere tractors and combines for area farmers and on his farm where he was born and raised."
He is survived by his wife, LolaRay of 56 years and his children, Bonnie Isler (Lance) of North Carolina, Steve Beauchamp (Helen) of Princess Anne and Dreanna Ryan (Darren) of Salisbury, brothers George Beauchamp (Millie) of Seaford, DE and Donald Beauchamp of Salisbury, grandchildren, Devin Isler, Kyle Isler, Abigail Ryan, Ethan Ryan, Lexi Beauchamp and Reese Beauchamp as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his stepmother, Lelia Beauchamp, he was preceded in death by his sister, Esther Dennis and brother, T. Boise Beauchamp, Jr.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone for their prayers, food, visits and cards. The care that he received from the doctors, nurses and Infusion Girls at PRMC along with Coastal Hospice is also greatly appreciated.
A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Quinton Cemetery in Pocomoke. Pastor Steve Willing will officiate.
