Salisbury – Wilma L. Thompson, 97, of here passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Harrison House in Snow Hill, MD.
Born in Morgantown, WV on November 26, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Lige B and Ella (Jeffries) Nicholas. She was a member of the Church of the Latter- Day Saints in Morgantown, WV. Wilma was a store manager at the Green Stamp Store in Salisbury, MD and later worked for many years at Food Lion in Princess Anne, MD.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Francis Thompson and daughter, Patricia Thompson.
Wilma is survived by her children, Barbara Malone and her husband Buddy of Allen, MD, Frances Ray and her husband Glenn, of Largo, FL, and Mary Miller of Salisbury, MD, partner Jim Finkle of Salisbury, MD, grandchildren Joseph Bailey (Tarin), Robert Bailey, Debbie Fields (Mike), Sean Ray (Jessica), Eric Thompson (Gina), and Chris Demone (Erin), Danielle Hayward ( Mike), 14 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, Sister Nellie Phillips and her husband Harold of Morenci, MI, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Hinman Funeral Home, P.A. in Princess Anne, MD where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Family friend Rebecca McElhone will officiate. Interment will follow in Allen Cemetery.
