William H. "Bill" Wilson, 90, died on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at Aurora Senior Living, Manokin Manor in Princess Anne. Born on Feb. 16, 1923, in Harrison, Ark., he was a son of the late Thomas Harold Wilson and Laura Slagle Wilson. His Late wife was Linda Meredith Wilson. Bill was a decorated World War II Army Air Force Veteran who served in the South Pacific from 1942-1945. He owned and operated CH Hayman and Sons Hardware Store in Princess Anne. Bill served as Assistant Chief and Chief of the Princess Anne Fire Company during his 64 years of service. He was a Life member of VFW Post 194 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Salisbury and was a member of OT Beauchamp Post 94 of the American Legion in Princess Anne for many years. He was a Scoutmaster of Troup 145 in Princess Anne and a member of the former Rotary Club here. He is survived by two sons, Tommie Meredith Wilson and his wife Darci of Princess Anne and William Harold Wilson Jr., and his wife Stella of Canterberry, New Hampshire. Also survived by a brother, Thomas Wilson of Missouri; and a sister, Jo Taylor of Texas; his mother-in-law, Beatrice Meredith Muir and her husband, Nevette of Rumbley; and a sister-in-law, Sandra Meredith Windsor of Princess Anne. He was a devoted grandfather to his grandsons, Matthew William Wilson and Luke Thomas Wilson. Also surviving are two nieces, Christine Koller and her husband Carl and Debbie Wilson; and nephews, Bobby and Tommy Wilson and Tim Tyler and his beloved dog Coco. A late sister was Valeria Wilson and a late brother-in-law was Royce Windsor, Sr. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne where friends may call from 1-2 p.m. The Rev.
