William Francis Thomas 83, of Champ near Princess Anne died on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the home of his daughter in Salisbury. Born in Champ on December 7, 1929 he was a son of the late Edgar Thomas and Clara Bloodsworth Thomas.
Mr. Thomas was retired as salesman and Manager for Shore Distributors and Nolan Companys of Salisbury. He was an Army Veteran and a member of St. Peters United Methodist Church in Oriole and the OT Beauchamp Post 94 of the American Legion in Princess Anne.
He is survived by his wife, Melba Murray Thomas. three Children, Frances Jindra and her Husband Terry of Omaha, Nebraska, Sheila Warner and her husband, Gene of Salisbury and George Thomas and his wife, Tina of Salisbury, Grandchildren, Christi Avila, Trent Jindra, Jamie Jindra, Gene Sterling, Kevin Sterling, Travis Sterling, Justin Warner and Dustin McPhail.. Also survived by 7 Great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Late Brothers and Sisters were, John Thomas, Edgar Thomas, Claude Thomas, Catherine Larson, Virginia Adkins, Gene Thomas, Calvin Thomas and Clara Thomas.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne where friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. The Rev. William Kniceley, Bill Sterling and Sally Stewart will officiate. Interment will be in Asbury United Methodist Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
