William F. Marriner Jr., 71 of here died on Monday, August 3, 2015 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. Born in Cokesberry on Sept. 29, 1943, he was the son of the late William F. Marriner ,Sr. and Bernice Carter Marriner. Mr. Marriner had been a salesman for Monumental Insurance Company. Mr. Marriner was a U.S. Navy veteran and member of River Church of Delmarva and the Salisbury Elks. Mr. Marriner was active in his community and was a dedicated to his family and made friends with everyone he meant.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Paige Marriner of Delmar, Md., two sons, William F. Marriner III and his wife, Shelia of Salisbury and John Paul Marriner and his wife, Kristie of Delmar, Md., his grandson, Jonathan Marriner of Delmar and his sister, Susan Lipka and her husband, Rich of Salisbury as well as several nieces and nephews. A late son was Jeffrey Allen Marriner.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. The Rev. Douglas McAllister will officiate. Interment will be in Perryhawkin Christian Cemetery near Princess Anne.
