William Russell Hall, Jr., 81, of Oriole, died peacefully at home on Friday, April 30, 2010.

Born in Oriole on May 14, 1928, he was the son of the late William Russell Hall, Sr and Marion McDade Hall.

Russell retired from Suburban Propane as a truck driver. He also farmed for 50 years. He was a past member of the Somerset Rurtian, Princess Anne Lions Club, the Moose Lodge and was past president of the Somerset County Election Board for numerous years. Russell was a member of St. Peters United Methodist Church in Oriole.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Nancy Hall; three daughters, Linda Benton Spery and husband Robert, Denise Barnette and husband John and Kimberly Williams and husband Paul; five grandchildren, Mark Benton, Jr and wife April, Nicky Benton, Angie Todd and husband Jonathon, Cody Williams and Joey Williams; three great-grandchildren, Brett, Ashton and Parker Benton, all of Princess Anne. Also surviving are two sisters, Ruby Wilson and husband Rod of Lewes, DE and Marion Raley and husband Joe of Delmar, Md., a brother, Harry Hall of Knoxville, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Hall.

Friends may call Wednesday evening from 7 to 9pm at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne, where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 6 at 2pm. Rev. William Kniceley will be officiating. Interment will be held in St. Peters United Methodist Cemetery in Oriole.
