Obituary

William A. Long, 82, died on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 at Snow Hill Nursing Home. Born on April 4, 1932, he was a son of the late Hughie Jackson Long and Ethel Carmean Long. Mr. Long retired as Service Manager at Good News after 20 years . Not one to ever sit still, he went right back to work at Sherwood where he worked until 2010. He was a member of Olivet Christian Church near Snow Hill. Mr. Long was a beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather.
He is survived by his wife Eva Long, three daughters, Rebecca Paparella (Charles), Carol Ellis (Mike) and Billye Harrison (Greg) all of Salisbury, two grandchildren, Brittany Cannon and Allison Harrison, a stepgrandchild, Degan (Kevin) Allen, a stepgreat-grandchild, Joshua Allen, his brother. Elwood Long of Princess Anne and several nieces and nephews. A Late Brother was Edward H. Long. Two late Sisters in Law were Mabel and Louise Long.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. Minister Houston Hill will officiate. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Thursday one hour prior to service time Interment will be held in Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury.
