Obituary

Princess Anne - Wilbur Watkins Milligan, age 76, of Princess Anne, went home to be with the Lord on November 5, 2018 surrounded by his loving wife, children, and other family members. Born in Princess Anne, Maryland on July 17, 1942, he was the son of the late Lester and Pauline Milligan.
Wilbur was a 1960 graduate of Washington High School in Princess Anne where he enjoyed his involvement in track and field, setting several records in the sport. After completing school, he married his high school sweetheart, Dianne, and began a family that would include 3 children.
As a young man, Wilbur began his lifelong career in the poultry industry, serving with various companies in the trade, working in many areas from the hatchery, to growing chickens, and later as a service representative.
Those who knew him best knew that his personal relationship with Jesus Christ was the center of his life. It was the desire of his heart to share that relationship with everyone he met. He served Christ faithfully in the work he did as a long-time member of Walker Memorial Church of God. He served in many ministries including youth ministry, couples ministry, Celebrate Recovery, as a church council member, as a volunteer at Hope Ministries feeding center, and in many other ministries as well. His life's legacy will be that he loved Christ faithfully and served others selflessly.
Wilbur was a true outdoorsman. He was very proud to be from the Eastern Shore and his favorite pastime was fishing with his friends and family. He loved hunting, watching the weather, and spending time near the water. He also enjoyed vacationing with his family in the Outer Banks, North Carolina.
Wilbur was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, mentor and friend. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dianne Milligan, and beloved children; David Milligan and wife, Karen; Rebecca Sylvia and husband, Brian; Steven Milligan and wife, Heather. Wilbur dearly loved his five grandchildren Brandon, Hunter, Jacob, Annaliese, and Morgan and his three great grandchildren Madison, Noah and Chloe. He also leaves behind his sister, Lydia Livingston and husband, Doug.
