Obituary

Wayne Vernon Hancock, 69, of here passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake after a courageous three year plus battle with cancer.
Born in Salisbury on March 27, 1948, he was the son of the late Norris and Mary B. Hancock. Wayne worked as a press operator for 32 years at Dresser and also several years at Manokin Manor in Princess Anne. He was a member of Antioch U.M. Church, American Legion Post 94 and former member of the Maryland National Guard in Crisfield. He was an avid train buff, especially model railroading.
Wayne is survived by his loving sister, Jean H. Northam and her husband Charles "Tommy" Northam of Princess Anne, Uncle and Aunt, Floyd and Betty Hancock, special extended family members and several cousins.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 4, 2017 at Hinman Funeral Home, P.A., 11673 Somerset Ave., Princess Anne, Md. with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Jamie DeVaughn will officiate and interment will be in Beechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne.
