Obituary

Wallace Hampton Peterman, Sr., 73, of Salisbury, Md passed away, Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. He was born May 15, 1940 in Princess Anne, the son of the late Violet and John Hampton Peterman.
Wallace was well known and respected for his excellence in the landscaping field as the President of Wallace Peterman Landscaping, Inc, a company he started in 1972. He was a member of the Redman Lodge in Fruitland. He loved playing cards with his friends, being on his tractor, either working or farming and the sound of his rabbit dogs barking as they ran through the woods picking up a rabbit's scent, and eating tomatoes like apples. Wallace will be remembered as a hard working, loving family man and loyal friend to many.
Wallace is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia Ann Peterman; his daughter Deborah Dryden and son-in-law Michael Dryden of Salisbury; his sisters Catherine Doyle of Princess Anne, Janice Dail and husband Lonnie of Crisfield; Norma Collier and husband John of Princess Anne; his brother-in-law James Pusey of Salisbury; his sister-in-law Paulette Smith of Salisbury; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son Wallace Peterman Jr. in 1998.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10, at 11:00 am at the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 am. The Rev. Jamie DeVaughn will officiate. Interment will be in Beechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne.
