Vernon Denwood Bozman, 96, died on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Aurora Senior Living of Manokin in Princess Anne, Born in Upper Fairmount, he was the son of the late Clinton Bozman and Flona Willing Bozman. His late wife was Pauline A. Bozman.
Mr. Bozman was a Waterman and a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Upper Fairmount. Hewas a member of the Somerset County Watermans Association and was inducted in to the Watermans Hall of Fame in 2006.He was a decorated Combat Veteran serving in the US Army in World War II. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart and The Silver Star. Mr. Bozman was alsoa member of OT Beauchamp Post 94 of the American Legion in Princess Anne.
He is survived by his son, Denny Bozman and his wife Charlene of Upper Fairmount, three grandchildren, Traci Schneider and her husband Jeurgen of Westover, Melanie Tawes and her husband Scott of Princess Anne and Dawn Lankford and her husband, Todd of Westover, his great-grandchildren are Shelbyand Brent Ennis, Kate and Deni Tawes, andLogan, Clinton and Griffin Lankford. He is also survived by his sisters, Jean Marshall and her husband, Bobby of Crisfield, Joyce Poulson of Hallwood, VA, Marquerite Houck of Delaware and Norma Jones of Washington, DC. , his sister in law, Mary Ann Bozman and several nieces and nephews Late brothers were Eldridge, Carroll and Harold Bozman and a late sister was Mildred Richards.
A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne where friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. The Rev Eddie Daniels will officiate. Interment willfollow in theBeechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne. Contributions may be made to the Fairmount Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 395, Upper Fairmount, Md. 21867 or Mt.
