Vera Ellen Taylor 79 of here died on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Salisbury Nursing Home, Genesis Elder Care in Salisbury, Born and raised in Princess Anne she was the daughter of the late Charles F. Long and Elenora Packer Long Late husbands were Charles Summers and Elwood Taylor. Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Princess Anne and the Women of the Moose in Salisbury. She loved her cats, gardening and her flowers.
She is survived by a Daughter and son in law, Debbie Lawrence and her husband, Steve of Princess Anne, a brother and his wife, Charles "Sonny" Long and his wife Jani of Delmar, De, her niece, Patricia Smullen and two nephews, Michael and Chuck Long. Also survived by her stepgrandson, Richard Lawrence , and her stepgreatgrandson, Steven Lawrence as well as several cousins.
A Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. Friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, The Rev. Jamie DeVaughn will officiate. Interment will be in St. Andrews Episcopal Cemetery in Princess Anne.
