Upton T. Norris, Jr. (Tom) passed away peacefully on June 11, 2015 with his loving wife of 66 years, Lucille and son Steve by his side. Tom was a veteran who served his country honorably. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. Tom was a life long member of the Oriole Hunt Club. Tom and Lucille owned Nemo's, a successful sub and sandwich shop, in South Baltimore for over 28 years. Tom and Lucille retired to Oriole, Maryland in 1984. Tom said many times that his home on the Eastern Shore was the answer to his dreams and everything he ever wanted. Tom attended St. Peter's United Methodist Church in Oriole, Md.
Tom is survived by his wife Lucille, his daughters Brenda Lukens and husband Phil, Sheila Drain and husband Rick, and sons William Norris and wife Susan, and Steven Norris, Sr. and wife Sharon. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Frank J Passarello, Jr., 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition he will be missed by Bianca Quell of Germany who was like a daughter to him and also Ray (Sonny) Bartels who was like a brother to him and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Upton Sr. and Edna Lee Norris, brother William H. Norris and his wife Ruth, his sister Edna Wigley, his oldest son Upton T. Norris III (Tommy) and his granddaughter Angela M. Lukens.
A memorial service will be held on Friday June 19, at 3:00 p.m. at the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne, Md. The Reverends Eddie Daniels and Bill Knicely will officiate. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at St. Peter's cemetery in Oriole.
