Wenona – Stephen Leroy White, 93, of here passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.

He was born in Salisbury on November 28, 1929, he was the son of the late Perry and Anna (Parkinson) White. He was a Navy veteran. In his early years, he was a preacher. He later worked as a carpenter and real estate developer. He was a member of St. Paul's UM Church in Wenona.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Elizabeth Elleanor White (2014) and his second wife, Dianne Marshall White (2023), brothers and sisters, Perry William White, Ella Pearl White, Phillip Lee White, Edna White, Perry William White,2nd, Perry Franklin White, Julia Hyacinth White, Elaine White, and Clara Mae White, and a granddaughter, Elizabeth White.

He is survived by his children Stephen L. White, Jr and his wife Betsy of Parsonsburg, MD, Rebecca A. France of Houston, TX, and her companion, Mark Lumb, Thomas P. White, Lisa K. Bowne, and Tina L. White, all of Salisbury, MD., grandchildren Ashley Marie White, Jamie Fisher, Samantha Harpool, Jonathan Thomas Travis and Michael Travis, Talane Bowne, and Tyler Bowne,  great-grandchildren Savannah, Brooklyn, Danielle, Summer, Roxanne, Hannah, Daniel, Alexis Malone, Tucker Coffin, Aubrey Coffin, Abby and Riley Fisher, Dylan and Alyssa Harpool, and River Amour.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at St. Paul's UM Church in Wenona, MD where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pastor David Webster will officiate.
