Pocomoke City – Thomas William Wilkins, 78, died Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Tidal Health in Salisbury, MD.
Born on November 12, 1945, he was the son of the late William Henry and Julia Merrill Wilkins.
He graduated from Pocomoke High School in 1963. He joined his father on the family farm at this time. He was a lifetime farmer with his father, his brother Charles, and most recently with his son Paul. Tom and his son Paul also had their own lawn care business most recently. He has been a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Pocomoke City, MD. He has also been a faithful attendee of the First Baptist Church of Princess Anne, MD.
Tom's greatest joys in life were spending time with his family, traveling and farming. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and uncle.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Beverly Taylor Wilkins, daughters Kimberly Wilkins and Janet Wilkins and son Paul Wilkins, all of Pocomoke, daughter Laura and Dave Brandon and their children, Charlie, Sammy, Jack, and Gracelynn all of Shalimar, FL, Uncle Burris Merrill, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles H. Wilkins.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 10, 2024 at First Baptist Church, Fourth and Market St in Pocomoke. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 PM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
