Theresa L. "Teri" Ford, 56 of here died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 after a courageous battle with breast cancer at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. Born in Salisbury on March 17, 1956 she was a daughter of the Late Richard Ford and Janice R. Parks Ford. of Upper Fairmount.
Teri enjoyed working for her grandparents in Fords Store in Fairmount. Teri had been a former employee of Somerset County Department of Social Services and the Eastern Correctional Institution from 1975 to 2000. She had been a member of Chapter 252 of the Maryland Classified Employees Association where she had served as treasurer and Vice President. Teri enjoyed singing with her singing group, The Ford Sisters Plus One. A former member of the Salisbury Jaycees, Teri was involved in rescuing cats with her friend, Sue Nevins at Roadrunner Rescue in Upper Fairmount. Teri was a partner with Tony Gelch of Panther Properties in East Point, Florida. She loved her dogs , Barbie and Tinker.
Teri is survived by two Sisters, Gail Ford Ritchey and her husband Larry of Gardner, MA, Vicki Ford Somers and her husband Pal of Crisfield and a Brother, Greg Ford and his wife Terri of Princess Anne her nieces and nephews, Shannon, Bunk, Shawn and Katie and her great nieces and nephews, Phaedra, Damien and Aiden, her stepmother, Ellen Bush and her husband George, a cousin, David French and her special friends, Julie Widdowson, Sue Nevins and Barb Sturgis. Her late sister was Pat Ford Taylor, late maternal grandparents were Willis and Beulah Parks and late paternal grandparents were Bertha and Cecil Ford.
A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at 6:00 PM in the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne where friends may call fron 5:00 to 6:00. Rev. Nolan Ford will officiate.
