Laurel Delaware- Thelma V. Powell , 84, died Monday April 25 at Life Care at Lofland Park in Seaford. Born in Pocomoke City on April 28, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Niblett. Thelma was a homemaker and worked as a waitress and sales person for Montgomery Wards, in Salisbury. She was a devoted Wife and Mother.
She is survived by a daughter Linda Emery and husband Rick, of Laurel Del., a son, Gary Powell and his wife Penny, of Westover, a granddaughter Gerri Vance of Fruitland and two great-grandchildren Michael and Erica and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband Rudolph Powell, a son Charles Ricky Powell, five brothers, William, Elton, Orville, Edward, and Ralph Niblett , and a late sister , Bessie Lankford.
A funeral service will be held Friday April29th. at 12:00 P.M. at the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Beechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne.
