Fairmount – Suzanne Fay Spence, 91, of here passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, MD.

Born in Crisfield, MD, she was the daughter of the late Calvert O'Brion and Emma (Sterling) Meredith. Suzanne was the church organist and pianist at Fairmount United Methodist Church for over 30 years as well as an accomplished piano teacher for over 30 years. She was a member of the Fairmount Historical Society and Christ United Methodist Women. She was very sociable and loved people.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William French (1998) and son, Richard N. French (2004), grandson Jason Bashor, and brother Norris L. Meredith.

Suzanne is survived by her husband of 15 years, Arnold Spence, daughters Faye French Bashor and her husband Paul, and Lois French, step-son Gary Spence and his wife Sandy, two grandchildren, Shari Worth and Scott Bashor, six great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

A family viewing was held at 10:00 A.M at the funeral home.

A graveside service was held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Beechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne, MD. Pastor Kelvin Ford will officiate.
