Susan Gee Blake, 73 of here died on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 at her daughters (Deborah Claytons) residence in Princess Anne. Born in Washington, D.C. on July 26, 1942 she was a daughter of the late Dr. Roger Williams, Sr. and Evelyn Gee Williams. Mrs. Blake had been employed by the Social Security Administration as a technical expert for many years. Known by many as "Sweet Susan" Mrs. Blake was a member of Market Street United Methodist Church in Onancock. She ran the dash for hope dinners to feed the hungry and was a member of the Carrie Radcliff Circle of the church. She was outgoing, energetic and always known for her smile
She is survived by her Husband, Ellis Edward Blake of Melfa, Three children, Jody Anne Hughes and her husband Curtis of Holbrook, PA, Lawrence Nalls, Jr. of Melfa, and Deborah Clayton and her Husband, Ted of Mt. Vernon, 2 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, two brothers, Roger Williams, Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Thomas Williams of Washington, D.C. and a sister, Elizabeth Jones of Naples, Florida.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday, Dec. 11, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Market Street United Methodist Church in Onancok, Virginia. The Rev. J. Barton Weakley will officiate. Interment will be private.
