Samuel F. “Buddy” Street, Jr., 66, of Princess Anne, MD, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at the Macky & Pam Stansell House in Ocean Pines. Born December 10, 1959, in Wilmington, DE, to Samuel F. and Ruth Browne Street, Buddy was a long-time resident of Princess Anne and a graduate of Parkside High School in Salisbury.

Buddy was a highly skilled technician for Oracle Corporation, specializing in installing, programming and troubleshooting Point of Service (“POS”) systems for the hospitality industry. Outside of work, he was known as a talented mechanic who loved to work on machines powered by relatively small gasoline or diesel engines and helping family and friends with repairs of any sort. Whether he was refurbishing one of his six vintage garden tractors, helping a neighbor repair a broken appliance, or fixing a brother’s stereo system, Buddy’s hands were rarely still. An additional passion was to take his boat out to troll for rockfish and to show friends and relatives the Chesapeake's beautiful tributaries.

He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and hard work. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Johnson Knight (Patrick) of Austin, TX, grandson Rhys Knight, two brothers, David E. Street (Eileen) of Reston, VA and Richard B. Street (Patricia) of Harrisburg, PA; his nieces and nephew, Jennifer Turner, Michael Street, Laura Street, and Julie McCormick; and sister-in-law, Billie Jo Pusey-Ross of Salisbury, MD.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Victoria L. Street in 2012.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Princess Anne, MD.
