Ruth Pusey Muir, 96 died on Tuesday, Feb. 7th at Aurora Senior Living in Princess Anne. Born in Champ on July 3, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Herman Pusey and Naomi Bozman Pusey. Mrs. Ruth was retired from the United States Post Office and had served as Postmaster for Oriole for many years. She also drove a school bus for over 50 years and was a longtime member of St. Peters United Methodist Church in Oriole. Her late husband was Leland S. Muir who died in 1960.
She is survived by two children, Elaine Muir Tawes of Oriole and Charles L. Muir and his wife Dolores of Princess Anne, three grandchildren, Brian Tawes, David Tawes and Greg Muir, Sr. , five greatgrandchildren, Greg Muir, Jr, Nicholas Muir, Sean Drew Muir, Kelly Tawes and Lex Tawes. Also survived by a Sister, Orpah Pusey Rommel and her husband Whitey of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and several nieces and nephews. A late sister was Doris Pusey.
A Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. The Rev. William Kniceley will officiate. Interment will be held in St. Peters United Methodist Cemetery in Oriole.
