Ruth Worth Calhoun, 88, of Rehobeth, died Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury

Born in Rehobeth, Md. on April 27, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Hubert Worth and Effie Worth.

Ruth owned and operated Delmarva Hearing Aide in Salisbury for many years and was a member of Rehobeth Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Hall Dirickson of Salisbury; a son, Lewis Calhoun of Delmar;Nine grandchildren, Tammy Lynch, Chip James, Faith Hertz, Sandy Mattingly, Donna Chatwin, Robert Barnes, Lance Barnes, Melissa Brittingham and Jason Calhoun; a sister, Florence Frist of Rising Sun, Md. and several nieces and nephews.

Her Husband was the late Edwin Calhoun. Two daughters, Pat Barnes and Janet Mason, a brother, John Worth and two sisters, Louise Sylvester and Lillian Capps, also preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 pm at Rehobeth Presbyterian Church in Rehobeth where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. David Park will officiate.
