Ruby W. Ring of Westover passed away Friday, June 26, 2026 at Alice B. Tawes Nursing and Rehab in Crisfield. She was 90.
She was born on March 5, 1936 on Deal Island, Maryland; the daughter of the late Carl Webster and Beatrice Tyler Webster.
After completing her education, she married James N. Ring, and they made their home in Westover. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2016 after 60 years of marriage.
She worked along side of her husband for over 57 years growing chickens on their farm. She took immense pride in her work and was dedicated to assisting with managing the farm responsibilities all while raising her family and making a home. She was known for her wonderful cooking skills and feeding her family and loved ones. Her homemade rolls were her specialty. She also enjoyed her flowers, gardening and spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by two children: a daughter Patti Parkinson and her husband Bruce and a son James N. Ring, Jr and his wife Deborah; four grandchildren: Chrissy Webster and her husband Bruce, Mandy McVay and her husband Mike, Danielle Ring, and Lauren Parkinson; six great grandchildren: Braden Wieland, Ellie McVay, Kyle Webster, Skylar McVay, Stormi Blanchfield and Lincoln Blanchfield; and four siblings: Ruth Twining, Diane Powell (Lee), Mark Webster and his wife Anna, and Charles Webster. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by nine siblings: Walter Webster, Albert Webster, Carl Webster, Lloyd Webster, Roger Webster, Wayne Webster, Wesley Webster, Fannie Mae Taylor, and Elizabeth Andrews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 12 Noon at the First Baptist Church in Princess Anne with the Reverend Jamie DeVaughn officiating. Interment will follow at Beechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 at the Church.
