Fruitland – Robert Neil Whitelock I, 80, of here passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 5, 2022.
Born in Mt. Vernon, MD, he was the son of the late Charles & Thelma (Smith) Whitelock. Bob worked for 36 years at Dresser Industries as an inspector. He owned & operated his own landscaping business. He was also a deputy with the Wicomico County Sheriff's Department for 26 years. Bob was Vice President of U.A.W. and financial secretary at Dresser Industries. He loved the computer, and enjoyed playing golf and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles "Mike" Whitelock.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Stephanie Hines Whitelock, grandson Robbie N. Whitelock III, sisters -in-law, Marian Whitelock of Salisbury, MD, Erin Hines of Merritt Island, FL, Leslie Moenius of Nottingham, MD and brother-in-law, Mark Hines of Virginia Beach, VA.
A visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Hinman Funeral Home, P.A. in Princess Anne, MD. The funeral will begin at 1:00 P.M. Rev. Tom Shawyer will officiate. Interment will follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
