Robert N. Shockley, 84, of Oriole, MD, passed away Monday, December 8, 2025 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, MD.  He was born August 27, 1941 to the late Hilda Noble Shockley and Milbert Shockley of Oriole, MD.

Robert attended Washington High School in Princess Anne, graduating in 1959.  He served in the US Army Reserves and was honorably discharged in September 1967.

He was a life-long farmer, growing grain and in his earlier years, beef cattle and hogs.  He raised chickens with Perdue Farms for 53 years.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara French Shockley; son, Steven R. Shockley; sister-in-law, Janet Lewis (Floyd); niece, Kristi Lewis; a special friend and helper, Jessie Bedsworth; and numerous good friends and associates.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harry M. Shockley; sister-in-law, Eva R. Shockley; and niece, Gale Shockley.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Jamie DeVaughn will be Friday, December 12, 2025 at 1 PM at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne where a viewing will be from 11AM until 1 PM.  Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in Oriole, MD.
