Robert R. Mason, 87 of Fruitland, passed away ,Monday, December 28, 2015, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, in Salisbury. He was born in Mount Vernon on August 31, 1928 and was the son of the late John and Irma Murray Mason. Robert was a U. S. Army Veteran, and he worked as a Seaman for Maritrans He was a member of The Salisbury American Legion, Tony Tank Tribe of the Red Mens in Fruitland, and a former member of the Salisbury Moose. Mr. Mason loved animals.
Robert is survived by his wife of 40 years, Peggy Kendrick Mason, his children Russell Mason (Virginia) of Fayetteville, NC., Daniel Mason Jr. of Deal Island, and Gary Mister (Trudy) of Hebron. He is also survived by a sister, Maryanna Wallace of Salisbury, and numerous Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Cindy Coleman, two brothers Dicky and Doogy Mason, and a sister, Janet Cooke.
