Rita Regina Hall, 89, of Princess Anne, passed away October 28, 2014 at her home. Born in Baltimore on October 8, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Edward Shafer and Myrtle Shafer Brooks. Rita worked as a Supervisor at the MVA in Baltimore, she was a member of St. Peters United Methodist Church, active in the Methodist Women, a member of the Deal Island MAC Center, and she volunteered for 20 years at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years Leroy A. Hall of Princess Anne, five children, Marion Wall and her friend Robert Herrman of Elkridge, Larry Carter and his wife Jean of Baltimore, Andy Hall and his wife Joanne of Salisbury, Debbie Hall Kenney and her husband Howard of Salisbury, and Sammy Hall and his wife Susan of Princess Anne. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Terri Poole (Bob), Donna Mowl (James), Jeffrey Carter, Darryl Malone (Brenda), Renee Malone, Jenny Bennett (Billy), Sam Hall Jr. (Becca), Joanne Perry(Doug). Fourteen Great-grandchildren and one Great-great grandchild. Also surviving is a sister Dorothy Stripeitis and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Faver and Ruth Sennott and a brother Joe Shafer.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. Interment will follow the service in the Glen Haven Memorial Park, in Glen Burnie, MD.
