Princess Anne – Richard John Quillen, 58, of here passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024n at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.

Born in Salisbury, MD, he was the son of Ruth (Harris) Sturgis of Princess Anne, MD and the late Van Sturgis. Richard was a Gulf War Veteran serving in the Army and had worked as a Correctional Officer at ECI. He was a member of the VFW. He loved fishing, bowling, and hunting.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Dreena Quillen, daughter Ashley Quillen of Newport News, VA, sister Patricia Messick and her husband Jeff, and brother Carlton Huntington and his wife Jeanine, all of Princess Anne, MD, stepsons Johnnie Eller III, Scott Eller, grandchildren, Jaylynn Eller, Jenova Kelley, and Jamel Kelley.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, May 24, 2024 at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne, MD where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Pastor Kelvin Ford will officiate. Interment will follow in Beechwood Cemetery.
