Obituary

Princess Anne – Richard "Steve" Lawrence, 69, of here passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md.
Born in Elkin, North Carolina on August 5, 1948, he was the son of the late Orville and Iris (Collins) Lawrence.
Steve retired in 2016 from Beauchamp Construction after 35 years as a concrete finisher. He was a Vietnam veteran who loved his family and loved to hunt and fish. His all-time favorite thing to do was putting around in his T-bucket going to classic car shows. He was a member of Bonneville Baptist Church in North Carolina
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Debbie Lawrence, a son, Richard (Hot Dog) Lawrence (Nikia), two grandchildren, Steven and Lilah, mother in law Mary Doss, two special aunts, Betty Williams and Mary Alice Carey, sister in law Lara Skinkle (Jason), a special nephew, Skeet Lawrence (Leigh Ann), and two step-brothers in law, Jerry (Mandy) and Matt (Gina) Lankford and a brother, Tommy Lawrence (Ginger).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father in law Bill Doss and mother in law, Vera Taylor.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Hinman Funeral Home, P.A. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 6-8:00 P.M. and again one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Beechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne. Reverend Bobby Parks will officiate.
