Berlin – Richard G. Boston, 81, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Atlantic General Hospital.
Born in Princess Anne, MD on November 16, 1936, he was the son of the late Charles and Irene (Dryden) Boston, Sr. He earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, and his Master's Degree in Education from Salisbury State College. He taught at Bennett Junior High School for 25 years. Some of his favorite pastimes were hunting, boating, riding on the tractor, wood-carving and especially telling jokes. He was a devoted Terps, Orioles and Ravens fan.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janet (Richardson) Boston, children Ann (Pat) Scanlon of Berlin, MD, Sue (Brian) Parsons of Salisbury, MD and Richard (Tricia) Boston, Jr. of Spokane, WA, grandchildren Meredith (George) Birch, Alex Ashman (Nate), Katie Scanlon (Jon), Sarah (Justin) Titman, Logan Scanlon, Crystal Scanlon (Joe), Ian Parsons, Mark Boston, and Vivian Boston, a sister Emily Ent, several nieces and nephews, and his dog Bandit.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Boston Jr. and his wife Marie, Ed Boston and his wife Thelma, and late brother-in-law, John Ent.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Monday, April 30, 2018 at Hinman Funeral Home, P.A., 11673 Somerset Ave., Princess Anne, Md. with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. George Patterson will officiate.
