Obituary

Salisbury - Rachel Amanda Brittingham Wallace, 84, of here passed away at home on Thursday, June 10, 2021. She laid down to sleep and awoke in heaven's courtyard.
Born in Westover, MD on December 10, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Bernice Brittingham.
Rachel graduated from Washington High School as Salutatorian of her class. She married her husband, James Wallace on July 14, 1956. Rachel retired after 21 years of service to The City of Salisbury in the purchasing dept.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Everett Brittingham, Jr. and Alvin Brittingham and great-granddaughter Grace Phillips.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James Wallace, daughters Tina (Mike) Phillips, Lisa (Glen) Palmer, Angela (Ron) Mitchell, grandchildren Michael (Ashley) Phillips, David (April) Phillips, Bethany (Jason) Copeland, Alan (Amy) Jones, Aaron (Erin) Jones, Joe (Katie) Mitchell, and Corey Mitchell, great-grandchildren, Nate, Hope, Derek, Trey, Abigail, Aydin, Brielle, Anna, Brady, Jay, Madelyn, Isabella, Grant and Elyse, sister-in-law Peggy Hill and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at the Church of God of Prophecy, Rt. 13, Delmar, DE with a visitation one hour before the service. Her son-in-law, Pastor Michael Phillips will officiate. Interment will be in St. Andrews Episcopal Cemetery in Princess Anne.
