Phyllis M. Knight, 82, passed away on November 3, 2015 at Hartley Hall Nursing Home in Pocomoke. She was born in Deal Island on September 11, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Charles and Arintha Benton Dashiell. Phyllis was a member of the Girdletree Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and served as former Auxiliary President. Phillis was the owner of The Country Store in Snow Hill.
She is survived by two children, Earline Redden Mariner of New Church, Va. and Earl Redden, Jr. (Cheryl) of Hagerstown, Grandchildren, Jimmy Mariner (Dawn), Brooks Mariner ( Kelly), Jesse Mariner (Cherie) Melanie Catlin (Will), Danielle Little ( Jason), Robert Chucky Victor, Tiffany Redden, Kevin Redden, Melissa Lindinsky, Nick Lindinsky, and Dustin Mariner (Jessica). She is also survived by twenty three Great Grandchildren, one step niece, and a Stepsister, Sharon Long of Salisbury.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a Great-grandson, Cayden Daniel Redden Lewis (2011) , and a late husband, Elwood Jack Mariner (1992).
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2015, at 2:00 PM in the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. Interment will follow the service in the St. Andrews Episcopal Cemetery in Princess Anne, MD. Jimmy Mariner will officiate.
