Pocomoke City: Percy LeRoy White, 68, of Pocomoke City, Md, passed away October 3rd, 2013, with his family by his side.
A viewing will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, October 7th, 2013, and on Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at HinmanFuneral Home 11673 Somerset Avenue, Princess Anne, MD, 21853. A funeral service will begin at 2 p.m atthe Funeral Home. Pastor John Oltman will officiate Following the service, LeRoy will be laid to rest at Beechwood Memorial Cemetery in Princess Anne, MD. All family and friends are welcome to attend both.
LeRoy was born June 20th, 1945, in Salisbury, MD at Peninsula Regional Medical Center to Percy and Florence White of Princess Anne, MD. He attended Washington High School in Princess Anne, MD. He then
went on to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist. He was honorably discharged on October 1st, 1968. Afterwards, he began to work on his family'farm as well as selling real estate in the Tri-County area. He began working for the state of Maryland as a Correctional Supply Officer in 1989, before retiring in 2009.
LeRoy thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family, playing Solitaire, watching his children play sports, travelling across the United States to see all the natural wonders as well as the National Parks, watching
football, and checking his stocks twice a day on the family computer that he said we didn't need.
In addition to his loving wife Dee, he is survived by his three children, Dawn, Andy, and Sean, two grandchildren, his sister Peggy Jean Sharpless, and several nieces and nephews.
