Hurlock - Penny G. Bowden, 79 of here died on Wednesday, July 6,2022 at her home in Hurlock. Born in Salisbury on October 28, 1942 she was a daughter of the late Raymond J. Bailey and Rosalie Howard Bailey. She had worked as an inventory clerk in the Automotive business. She was the beloved mother of Kimberly Ann Wanex (Glenn) of Hurlock and Gayle Trivits of Lynchburg, Va.
She is also survived by her sisters, Nancy B. Pletcher of Mooresville, NC, and Maggi B. Weidler of Salisbury, her brothers, Raymond R. Bailey and Jay Bailey also of Salisbury, her grandchildren, Christen Gayle Wickham ,Christopher John Wickham II, Kathryn Ann Wickham, Paul Trivits, John Trivits, Emma Trivits and Sophi Trivits.
One Great-grandchild, Caleb Preston Lynn and several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Preston Bowden, sister Glenda Beach and brother Wallace H. Bailey
A Graveside Memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 17th at 2:00 P.M.
in Asbury United Methodist Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Bonnie Stone will officiate.
