Pauline Thomas Dorsey, 93, of Westover, died Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Manokin Manor Nursing Home in Princess Anne.

Born in Atlantic, Virginia on September 20, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Harry Thomas and Elsie Thornton Thomas. Her husband, Woodrow W. Dorsey died May 19, 1988.

She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved to quilt and crochet. She was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church in Princess Anne and had also attended Greenhill Church of the Brethren in Westover.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert Lee "Fish" Dorsey and Ellen of Westover; a daughter-in-law, Henrietta M. Dorsey of Salisbury ; four grandchildren, Melinda Conde of Severn, Md., Jennifer Shankle of Church Hill, Md., Henry "Hank" Dorsey of Salisbury and Stephanie D. Taylor of Pocomoke; seven great-grandchildren, Lauren Porter, Mary Kate Porter, Danielle Miller, Allen "A.J." Miller, Jr., Grace Shankle, Hope Shankle and Shannon Dorsey; a brother, William "Bill" Thomas of Chincoteague; a sister, Agnes Coulbourne of Atlantic; and several nieces and nephews.

Also preceding her in death were a son, Harry W. Dorsey, three brothers, Elmer Thomas, Percy Thomas and Harry "Benny" Thomas and a sister, Catherine Taylor.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2pm at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. William Kniceley will be officiate with Rev. Hannah Bonner assisting. Interment will be held in Quinton Cemetery near Pocomoke.
