Obituary

Patricia R. Hall Laird died on Friday, November 11, 2022 at Tidal Health Peninsula Regional.
Born in Jerusalem, Maryland, on March 26, 1933, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Kathleen Hall. Her husband, Clarence Laird, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Anne Hall, brother, Leroy Hall; sisters in-law, Rita Hall and Peggy Hickman, and son-in-law, Donnie Price.
She graduated from Washington High School. She went on to work at Tilghman's Men Shop, Harry Dashiells's law firm, Bountiful Ridge Nurseries, and she retired as a secretary from the Somerset County Board of Education.
She was an active member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church where she worshipped and participated in all of the activities and services. She enjoyed being a member of the United Methodist Women and helping to plan dinners, making and selling sausage, and helping with the flea markets. She also helped with the church's MYF.
Her faith and love of family was very evident. She was always happy to spend time with her family and proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved attending their special events and celebrating birthdays and holidays together. Christmas was her favorite holiday of all.
She is survived by her brother, George S. Hall; daughter, Judy Price; sons, Brian Laird (Vickie) and Charles Laird (Donna); grandchildren, Jill Price, James Price, Brian Laird, Jr. (Rachel), Katie Eby (Jeff), Eric Laird (Kellie), Charles Grayson Laird, Howard William Ward III, Ross Cullen (Amanda), and Chase Cullen; great-grandchildren, Victoria & Cadyn Travers, Lukas, Jensen, & Aubrie Laird, Martie & Maren Laird, and Sadie Cullen.
She is also survived by her nephews, Andy Hall (JoAnn) and Sammy Hall (Susan), her niece, Debbie Kenney (Howard), and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
We would like to thank the TidalHealth Layfield Tower 5th floor neurological unit for the excellent care and compassion they showed during her illness. We also want to thank Dr. Thomas Cypher and Dr. Usha Nateson for their excellent care as well.
Special thanks to Callie Taylor (Amedys Home Health Nurse) and Elliott and Jonathan (Physical Therapy) for the excellent care they provided.
A viewing will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at Hinman's Funeral Home in Princess Anne, MD. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at St. Peter's United Methodist Church at 1:00 p.m., with a viewing from 12-1 p.m. Reverend Charles Jacobson and Reverend Bill Sterling will be officiating.
