Neoma Frances "Fran" Witemore, 88, of Dames Quarter and formerly of Elkton and Baltimore, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury.

Born in Minnehaha, West Virginia on September 23, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Forrest and Laura Levada Shinnaberry.  Her husband, Charles Franklin "Sonny" Witemore, preceded her in death on November 21, 2006, and she was the last surviving of her siblings.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael David Dunn, sister Lois Shinnaberry, and brothers, Roy Shinnaberry and Osbourne Shinnaberry.

Mrs. Witemore worked many years at Kole Lamp Company in Baltimore, was First Mate on the Baltimore Inner Harbor Water Taxi and later worked at Churchman Village Nursing Home in Elkton.  She was past president of the Edgemere Maryland Moose #537 Auxiliary.

She is survived by three sons, Gregory S. Dunn, Sr. and wife Lorilee of Dames Quarter, John C. Wickline, Jr. and wife Roxanne of Baltimore, and Jeffery Wickline and wife Carrie of Felton, DE; daughter-in-law, Missy Hayes of Chicago; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; her special caregivers, Lorilee Dunn, Kim Dunn, Kelly Dunn, and Clarissa Dunn; and her beloved pet dog "Sonny".
