Princess Anne – Myrtle Brenner, better known as Ruth by her family and friends was born on May 9, 1922. She was the youngest of six children born to Lloyd A. and Rebecca L. Joynes and was born in Birdsnest, Va.
She was married in 1939 to Jesse James Brenner and together they made Pocomoke City the family's home raising two children. Their children are Ruth Loraine Beaver whose husband is James R. Beaver of Princess Anne, Md. and James Kent Brenner of Pocomoke City, Md. Ruth is affectionately known as Mom Mom to her five grandchildren, Bobby Godwin and his wife Wendy of Salisbury, Kevin Godwin of Salisbury, Rhett Brenner of Pocomoke City, James D. Beaver and his wife Nicki of Salisbury, and Jesse Eric Beaver and his wife Holly of Princess Anne, eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Ruth became a dedicated worshipper of Jehovah on January 1, 1961 and enjoyed talking to others about the bible's truth she had learned after studying the bible with Jehovah's witnesses. She took seriously the responsibility to "go there and make disciples" and became a full time preacher of Jehovah's kingdom, spending much of her time doing what she loved-talking bible truths to others. Ruth held fast to her bible-based hope that her resurrection would be to a paradise earth without the struggles that we now experience and where she would once again be with her family and friends and able to exclaim "Jehovah, every promise you have made has come true!"
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah, 202 Moonglow Rd. in Fruitland, Md. Leon Bivens will officiate.
