MOUNT VERNON- Mollie Mulcahy, 89, of Mount Vernon, died Tuesday June 28th. at home. She was the daughter of the late Irving and Mary Foxwell Simpkins. Mollie was married to Dennis Mulcahy who preceded her in death in April, 2011. Mollie was a certified Nursing Assistant, and worked as a private duty sitter, retiring in 1987. She attended John Wesley U.M.. Methodist Church, was a past member of Manokin Chapter No. 109 O.E.S. in Princess Anne. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and decorating.
Mollie is survived by a sister- in-law Lois W. Simpkins, of Mt. Vernon, and was preceded in death by two brothers William W. and James Simpkins.
A Memorial Service is Scheduled for Mollie and her late husband Dennis on Aug. the 2nd. At 11:00 AM., In the Asbury U.M. Cemetery in Mount Vernon. Rev. Olivia Costango will officiate.
