Princess Anne – Millie Rae Parks Mason born September 22, 1926 went home on December 3, 2022 at 7:30 AM. Our mother's essence:
Children: -We always knew we were wanted and loved; -Her actions taught us to persevere and finish well; -She always celebrated our successes; -She loved weaving baskets; sewing; gardening; -She delighted sharing with others; -She used God's resources wisely; -Going blind at 70 she learned to read Braille and read the entire Braille Bible twice; -She prayed for hunger for the Bible and found passion for God's Word and Work; -She was the spiritual leader of our family; -Even in the end she whispered 'Praise you Jesus' as she struggled to hold onto reality; Grandchildren: -Mom-Mom's actions taught me when facing adversity I can endure and thrive because I have those same genes; -Mom-Mom's house filled with home-cooked aromas, hugs whispering "I love you a bushel and a peck";
Life-long friends: - She knew how to be a loyal, true friend; -She was a gentle, genuine spirit without pretenses; -She loved laughing and smiling; -She loved chocolate using discipline in eating habits; -She was a mentor earning respect from friends; -She listened with compassion; -She was a consummate teacher of God's Word; -She was a prayer warrior, when she said she was going to pray for me I knew it was so; …and the quintessential statement comes from a friend in Oregon; "Heaven's gain, Our Loss!"
Rest now and celebrate with Jesus as you see Dad who waited patiently at the gates for over 25 years. We love you Mom, Friend and Teacher. Your children: Charles, Charlene, family and friends.
