Princess Anne – Mildred Ann Muir, 86, of here passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, MD.
Born in Deal Island on December 2, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Tyler Walters and Elsie Walters. Mildred was a homemaker and member of St. Peter's UM Church. She was a past Worthy Matron of the Manokin Order of the Eastern Star #109.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Ned" Muir in April of this year and a brother, Andrew "Bunky" Tyler Walters, Jr.
She is survived by her sons, Edward James Muir, Jr., and his wife Tina of Greenbackville, VA and Keith Muir and his wife Carol of Princess Anne, MD, grandchildren Megan Muir Stanley (Ethan), Ross Muir, Matthew Muir (Ai), Katie Murray (Phillip), and Kayla Furman (Doug), eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Hinman Funeral Home, P.A. in Princess Anne, MD where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Pastor David Webster will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Peter's UM Cemetery in Oriole, MD.
