Michael D. Griffith, Sr., 64, of Eden , died Friday, February 15th., at the Coastal Hospice at the Lake, in Salisbury. Born in Salisbury, Maryland on December 31, 1948. He was the son of John and Sarah Jenkins Griffith.
Michael retired from E.C.I., working as a Correctional Maintenance Officer. He was a member of the Tony Tank Tribe Red Mens Lodge, a member of the Salisbury Moose Lodge and Eagles Club in Salisbury.
He is survived by his wife Katheen Malone Griffith, his parents, John and Sarah, A Stepmother Peggy Griffith, a duaghter Michelle Scholl, of Eden, a Son Michael D. Griffith, Jr. of Durham, NC, two grandsons, Zachary Scholl and Wyatt Griffith, one granddaughter Amelia Griffith. He is also survived by three brothers, Bill, Jerry, and Jack Griffith, a stepsister Candace Smith, and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind special friends Larry and Cindy Aurelio and Bill Shockley who was like a father to him.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 20th. at 2:00 pm. in the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. Friends may call one hour prior to the service time. Rev. Howard Travers will Officiate.
