Michael Shane Gandy, 47, of Princess Anne passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Miami. Oklahoma on August 30, 1969. He is the son of Robert J. Gandy Jr., of Baxter Springs, Kansas and Janice Fay Johnston Gandy of Joplin, Missouri. Shane was a master electrician and owner of Delmarva Electrical. He served in the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 29 years, Denise Benton Gandy, children, Michael Shane Gandy, Jr., Nathan Kyle Gandy, William Cannon Gandy, and Megan Grace Gandy, in laws, Randy G. and Agnes Anne Wheatley Arnold of Columbus, Kansas and Gerald and Brenda Benton of Deal Island, a sister, Shay-Leigh Spence and her husband Eric and their two daughters of Joplin Mo., and an uncle, Carroll Johnston of Miami, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Dorothy Johnston and Robert and Jane Gandy.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Church of God – Walker Memorial, 11429 Hayman Drive, Princess Anne, Md. where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Pastor Tim Shawyer will officiate.
