EDEN-Mike Fischer 48, of Eden passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by his loved ones, Sunday Jan. 23rd. at his home.
Mike was born in Crisfield on May 2, 1962 to the late Charles and Rebecca Fischer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephews Douglas and Christopher "Critter" Fischer. He loved having his home filled with family and friends, the more the better. He also loved to play golf with his best friends.
He served 8 years in the Marines. He won several awards while working for 20+ years as director of maintenance at the Holly Center in Salisbury
He is survived by "the Love of his Life" Laurie Fischer and his beloved daughter Pamela Sue (Tre) and his only son "Little" Mike. Four grandchildren, Cameron, Brennon, Landon and T.J. , one sister Cheryl (Fred) Moore of Allen, Three brothers, George(Linda) and Earl both of Eden, Pete (Donna) of Delmar, long time family friend Wayne Fink, his mother and Father in-law Nancy and Al Brown of Deal Island, sister in-laws Edna (Dave) Hollister of Salisbury, Pam(Sergio) Ramos, of Deal Island, Cindy (Jerry) Downs of Salisbury, Angie (Kenny) Brown of Mt. Vernon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who he dearly loved.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Mikes life will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 26th at 11:00 AM at Impact Church on Moonglow Road in Fruitland. The Rev. Evan Nutter will officiate. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. Interment will be in Zion Cemetery in Eden.
Donations can be made in his honor to the Impact Church of Fruitland, 206 Moonglow Rd., Fruitland, Md. 21826.
