Matthew Edward Watson, 32, died Monday November 25, 2013, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. Born August 30, 1981, he was the son of Dale Watson and Judith Corbett Given, and stepson of Sylvia Watson and Richard Given. Matthew graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2004. He worked as an electrical Engineer for Orbital Science Corporation. H enjoyed bicycling, working on electronics, Ham Radio Festivals, and working building homes in the Appalachia for the disadvantaged.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife Kim A. Watson of Salisbury, a daughter Marie Theresa Watson of Salisbury, a brother, Brian Watson and his wife Samantha of Catonsville, a brother Marcelo Salem, two sisters Daniela and Sofia Salem all of Salisbury. He is also survived by his Paternal Grandmother, Kay Watson of Mount Vernon, and a niece Chloe, and nephews Isaac and Theodore.
A funeral service will be held on Monday December 2nd. at 2:00 PM in the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in the Asbury United Methodist Cemetery, in Mount Vernon. Rev. Tom Bunting will officiate.
