Obituary

Mary B. Tyler, 88, of Crisfield, formerly of Wenona passed away on Friday September 26, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born on April 24, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Daniels and Viva Webster Daniels. Mary was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved cooking, quilt making, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Christ Fellowship Bible Church in Marion, MD.
For the past year and a half she was a resident of Harrison House in Snow Hill, Md., where she enjoyed being the "favorite."
Mary is survived by her five children, Richard James Benton Sr. and his wife Cathi, Paul T. Benton III and his wife Charlotte, Gerald Spencer Benton Sr. and his wife Brenda, Mark Randall Benton Sr. and his wife Gail, and Cindy Swift and her husband Billy. She leaves her grandchildren, Caleb Benton, Caitlin Benton, Richard James Benton, Jr., Renee Dorsey and her husband Benjamin, Gerald Spencer Benton, Jr. and his wife Nadine, Zoe Benton, Denise Gandy and her husband Shane, Jeremy Spencer Benton, Gerald Spencer Lee Benton, Megan Erin Bowden, Mark Benton, Jr., and his wife April, Nicole Benton and her spouse Jackie, Angela Sue Todd and her husband Johnathan, Billy Gene Swift, Jr. and his wife Mindy, and Joanne Swift. She is also survived by Fifteen great-grandchildren, and a brother Art Daniels and three sisters, Maxine Benton, Patsy Wilson, and Nancy Horseman.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Paul Benton Jr., her second husband Paul F. Tyler, a grandson, Paul T. Benton IV, she is also preceded in death by two brothers Jimmy and Paul Daniels, four sisters, Lois Esham, Mildred Collier, Nellie Horner and Elizabeth Webster.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday September 28, 2014, in the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in
Wenona, at 2:00 PM. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Steve Willing and Rev. David Webster will officiate.
