IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Patricia
"Ticia" Lentz
April 1, 1942 – October 16, 2025
Celebrating a life well-lived.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Patricia (Ticia) Lentz, who passed from this life on October 16, 2025 at age 83 in Fishersville, Virginia.
Born on April 1, 1942 in Salisbury, Maryland, Ticia was loved by family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She graduated from Wicomico Senior High School in 1960 and then attended Penn State University. Soon after, she met and married Carroll N. Lentz in 1962. She was known for her soft demeanor, very meticulous planning, and willingness to be involved in her church and community. She easily made friends, many of whom she continued to have enduring relationships with.
Ticia was a lifetime member of the Episcopal Church, and for the past forty-one years she was an active member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Princess Anne, Maryland, serving as a devoted member of the Church Vestry, Junior Warden, Senior Warden, Church Cemetery Committee, Scholarship Selection, and Administration Committee. Ticia, alongside her husband Carroll, was also a devoted member of the St. Andrew's Church Bell Ringers, having been instrumental in the acquisition of six change-ringing bells from England installed in the belfry in 1993. The tuneful set has rung out from the tower ever since.
Ticia is survived by her son Eric (wife Rachel) and two granddaughters, Miranda and Rebecca; five brothers: John Riggin, Jr. (Shukyi), and Michael (Ellen), David (Cindy), Grier (Cindy), and Dennis Reno, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Each will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Carroll, who passed away October 11, 2014; her mother and father, Constance Couluris and first husband John Riggin, and the father that raised her, Wallace Reno; and Ticia's cherished Aunt Aggie and her husband Uncle Carroll, both of whom she cared for during their failing years.
Throughout life, Ticia made lasting contributions to the community and to the
Church. She enjoyed socializing with family and friends, especially during family reunions, around the holidays, and at dinner parties. Her husband Carroll served first in the U.S. Navy and then the U.S. Coast Guard, so Tish made homes in nine communities before returning to Allen, Maryland in 1984.
Ticia will be deeply missed, but she will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Princess Anne, MD, where friends and family will gather to celebrate Ticia's life and legacy. Internment will follow at the Roscoe P. Jones Memorial Cemetery, next to the Allen Asbury Memorial Church. A reception will follow at the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Fellowship Hall. All are welcome to attend and share their memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Andrew's Bell Fund, Habitat for Humanity, or your personal charity.
