Princess Anne – Mary Virginia "Ginny Mac" Widdowson, 92, and formerly of here, passed away Tuesday, February 9th, 2021 at Alice B. Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield, MD.
Born in Mt. Vernon, MD on November 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Ethel (Pruitt) McIntyre. She was employed by Somerset County Board of Education where she worked at Washington High School as a secretary to the Principal. She loved to cook, travel, country line dance, and loved dogs. Above all else, she loved her family. She was a member of the Princess Anne Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of almost 70 years, Phillip C. Widdowson, Sr., sisters Mildred Jarmans and Jane Littleton.
She is survived by her children, Philinda (John) Etcher of Yorktown, VA, Phillip Widdowson, Jr. of Revells Neck, Keith (Hattie) Widdowson of Mt. Vernon, MD and Kevin (Paige) Widdowson of Princess Anne, MD, grandchildren Christi (John) Harrison, Beth (Michael) Showalter, Ian (Katie) Etcher, and Hannah (Michael) Gallione, great- grandchildren Phillip Showalter, Tabitha Showalter, William Showalter, Etcher Harrison, Slater Harrison, Blaise Harrison, Logan Etcher, Otis Etcher, and one great - great grandchild on the way. She is also survived by 3 dear family friends, Nellie Jones, Mary Adams and Elmer Lane III.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Hinman Funeral Home, P.A. in Princess Anne, MD where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Beechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne. Rev. Robert Daniels will officiate.
