Mary C. Breithut

Pocomoke City: Mary C. Breithut, 74 of here died Saturday at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born on Tangier Island she was a daughter of the late Severn Warner Crockett and Maggie Cooper Crocket. Mrs. Breithut was a Homemaker and a member of the ladies auxiliary of VFW Post 8622 in Pocomoke. Her hobbies were bowling on Tuesday mornings, Bingo at the Pocomoke Elks Tuesday evening and again on Friday evening at the Westover Moose Lodge. She loved animals and was a volunteer at St. Marys Christian Child Care Center, the MAC Center in Pocomoke and the Holly Center in Salisbury.

She is survived by two sons, Bill Breithut of Parsonsburg and Chuckie Breithut of Salisbury and a daughter Barbara J. "BJ" Somers and her husband Mark of Rumbley, 3 Grandchildren, Eric Breithut and Kyle and Travis Somers and a nephew, Jim Somers of Parsonsburg. Her late husband was William O. Breithut, Sr who died on Feb. 25, 2000. A late brother was Samuel Shores and a late sister was Frances Shores Somers.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 27th at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Cemetery in Pocomoke. Officiating will be Pastor Mariann Babnis. Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne.
